Guitar lessons. The most popular instrument in American music it gives you the ability to play and perform in a variety of genres from classical music to rock and roll. At Center Stage Music, we will expose all these possibilities to beginner students as well as experienced players. Beginner students will learn essential details on care and handling of the instrument as well as important musical theory. Experienced students will benefit by furthering their knowledge of the instrument, whether it be playing their favorite rock tune or playing a song they wrote. The sky is the limit and our teachers are here to help nurture your musical growth and guide you to success.
Bass lessons. The bass guitar is another popular instrument and can be traced back to the early 20's and 30's in early jazz to the classic soul, funk, and R&B. Beginner education on bass will consist of basic care and handling of the instrument along with learning how to read bass guitar charts and understand the functionality of the fret board.
Drum lessons. Drumset and percussion is one of the oldest instruments in history. Each student will get a tailored, personalized curriculum that will teach them fundamentals such as stick grip, posture, style, and drumset performance. The student's musical growth is endless with the proper training and experience gained at Center Stage Music.
Piano lessons. This is one of the most widely practiced instruments in music. Through the 40's and 50's there was a piano in many homes in America. Piano grew to be an instrument used outside of the classical realm in years past, with rock bands utilizing it such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Kansas, Journey, and more! Piano students at Center Stage will learn classical, essential techniques and will then get in-depth and hands-on musical theory instruction that will allow them to play and improvise popular music such as the blues and rock.
Violin lessons. The violin also known as a fiddle, is a sting instrument usually with four strings tuned in perfect fifths. It is the smallest and highest pitched member of the vioilin family of sting instruments, which also includes viola, cello,and double bass. The violin is played by musicians in a wide variety of genres including classical, jazz, folk, and rock
Singing lessons. The voice is presumed to be the original musical instrument and is unique in that it is “with you wherever you go”. From the early days of improvisation and religious ceremonies, to the grandeur of the opera that peaked in the 18th century to the popular music of today, the voice has been a primary means of musical communication and expression. Students will learn proper vocal technique to prevent damage and to enhance developing voices. Students will also be exposed to and explore a variety of musical styles as well as achieving personal goals in the artistry of voice.
